A Note About Deposits & Cancellation Fees

We know deposits and cancellation fees aren't anyone's favorite thing, they stress us out too. But we always try to be as transparent as possible, so we want to explain why we have them.

As an appointment-based small business, the time you book is reserved specifically for you. Simply put, if we don't have a client in that appointment time, we don't make money from it. When an appointment is cancelled at the last minute or someone doesn't show up, it's often too late to fill that spot with another client.

Our employees are paid for their time, and the salon still has all of its normal expenses regardless of whether that appointment happens. A last-minute cancellation can mean losing an hour or several hours of expected revenue while those expenses stay exactly the same.

Our deposits and cancellation fees aren't meant to punish anyone or squeeze extra money out of our clients. They're there to protect a portion of the time and income that was reserved for your appointment, while allowing us to continue paying our team a living wage and keeping the business sustainable.

We also know that life happens. Emergencies happen, pets get sick, cars break down, and money gets weird. That's why we always encourage you to communicate with us. We're humans too, and we'd much rather hear from you than have you avoid reaching out because you're worried we'll be mad.
